NITDROID ICS on Nokia N9 ?, things you should know

23 Reasons why you shouldnt try Nitdroid ICS on Nokia N9

1. No voice calls and mobile data problems in
Roaming with some carriers still not addressed

2. Build.prop tweaks or tricks to use ANDROID market?, they are either tested with half results or no satisfactory results at all

3. You cannot flash the dualboot
kernel, if the phone is simlock

4. The touch screen
sensitivity is highly variable in
Nitdroid

5. Audio distorts at regular
levels

6. When plugging the
usb to the phone it sometimes
pop ups the search and settings unnecessarily

7. Cannot use as the main operating system

8. Live wallpapers not working

9. In most instances, calling/receiving party can't hear you

10. Have to use ADB over network (USB Networking) as it doesnt currently work via USB

11. Basic video decoding and
playback are laggy

12. "3G is working currently only in the Browser
application and will not work anywhere else, it is also extremely unstable", the developer confesses.

13. Bluetooth working like in normal charging etc. Might have problems
with charging

14. Audio is for playback of
music, but not for calling

15. No Proper suspend - when the device goes into deep sleep, will reboot itself

17. No Wi-Fi, if you don't have 3G access then you won't be able to do much

How to fix Nitdroid ICS Lag on N9 and Improve performance of apps

1. Slide down the Notifications
bar and tap "Settings". In the Settings menu, again tap
"Developer Options". Then scroll down the list of options and tap on "Force GPU
rendering".
2. Kill all running
apps in the multitasking tray or
by restarting your device
3. MX Video Player doesnt require hardware acceleration
4 For a better Launcher try Launcher pro
5. Download Advanced Task Manager and clean up
all the memory once a while
6. Switch to 2D GPU acceleration
7. Turn animation effects off.
8. Change launcher. Use
Launcher 7 for better results
